Recap: Wolves 113, Pacers 110
The Wolves finally picked up a victory in the US last night, but it took some time. The Wolves needed two overtimes in order to beat the previously unbeaten Pacers 113-110. In the game thread, there was one thing that I really pointed out to watch for, and that was a collapse. The Wolves did just that in the second half, blowing a 23-point lead and two nice quarters to start the game.
Luckily, they were able to pull it back together at the end to tie it up and then take the victory in the second overtime. Chris Richard and Al Jefferson made the key plays as Jefferson hit a three-point play and Richard made a tip-in to send the game to overtime.
Overall, the Wolves played pretty well, and a bunch of different players produced. Rashad McCants, Craig Smith and Al Jefferson were the key young guys, and Ricky Davis also gave his normal performance scoring 19 points.
Jefferson, who has drastically improved over the last few games, put forth another good performance with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Rashad McCants also continued his recent roll, putting up 18 points.
With the win, the Wolves are now 2-3 in the preseason, and will play another back-to-back game when they face off against the Bucks tonight in Milwaukee.
