Pre-Season: Boston Celtics

Game Time: 1:30 TV: ESPN2

For the first time since the Wolves traded away Kevin Garnett in July, the Minnesota Timberwolves and Boston Celtics will meet up. It is only a preseason game, but you can bet that it will bring with it more emotions and competitiveness than any other preseason game will.

Starting Lineups:
Minnesota Timberwolves

Boston Celtics

What To Watch For:
– Watch for Al Jefferson, Gerald Green, Ryan Gomes and Sebastian Telfair. These are the new guys, and this will be their first game with the Wolves against an NBA team.

– Watch for who plays. There are a number of ankle injures, and Green, Jefferson and Telfair are among players that are questionable (wouldn’t that be a bummer). Also, it is possible that Smith and McCants will play for the first time along with Marko Jaric.

– Watch for guys like Greg Buckner and Juwan Howard. These are supposed to be the leaders on this team. Buckner also has a lot to prove as there is a possible buyout coming if he doesn’t play well.

– Watch for Randy Foye and Telfair in the game at the same time, and watch for Foye to play a lot more at SG today.

– Finally, watch for Kevin Garnett. This will be the first time we get a good look at Kevin with his new team, and it’ll be interesting to watch. Also watch for the matchup between Jefferson and Garnett along with the rest of the guys involved in the trade playing today against Boston.
